The Star Wars thread
Fascinating fan documentary/re-edit of the '77 movie, includes excellent opportunity to see early deleted footage back in the film. Here are the first two parts...

Hey Sherb, thanks for posting, these are awesome!!! Love the deleted footage and the bloopers. It's funny to hear David Prowse as Darth Vader and not James Earl Jones.

Re: Star Wars Begins...
I watched all parts several months ago..simply great. As a STAR WARS fan that was a real treat. Its rightful place should be not be on YouTube, but on one of the special features disc for the new Blu-Ray Box Set coming out in September. I know it is also available on DVD. A true gift to all STAR WARS fans. My hats off to him.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-207_162-573 ... ead-at-82/Ralph McQuarrie, the artist whose conceptual paintings were instrumental in designing the landmark "Star Wars" films, has died at age 82.The announcement was made on his official website, ralphmcquarrie.com.
The success of his "Star Wars" paintings launched a late feature film career for McQuarrie that included helping design such classics as "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "E.T.: The Extra-terrestrial," "Back to the Future," "Cocoon," "Total Recall," and the original TV series "Battlestar Galactica."

Re: Star Wars Begins...
WOW
George Lucas must have alot of trust in Kathleen Kennedy to let her take over Lucasfilms. He must also have alot of faith in Disney for that matter. I thought the guy would have an iron grip on the franchise for the rest of his life.
I have a question though. Does anyone know the synopsis for Episode 7?

I'm waiting for the inevitable Star Wars/Avengers crossover movie. It's going to suck, but I'm going to pay eighteen dollars to see it, anyway.
