Is that a real movie? Looks like a parody to me.

For the first time in 35 years, Daniel Lutz, the eldest son of George and Kathleen Lutz, will give his perception on the 28 life-altering days he spent at 112 Ocean Avenue.

Congrats on being able to pull that together!!!

Wow! As we talked about in chat last night, I can't believe you guys were able to track down Dan Lutz, let alone get him to agree to an interview. If you need anything, let me know.

BTW, as you all know we (the admin/mods here) are all expert computer hackers who know how to open up images in a new window and look at the URL to see whose Photobucket account is being used. Well I used my genius hacking skills to hack into the chat room over at the Legion of Doom, where I caught Ryan Katzenbach and his chums discussing Eric's press release:

TheVampireologist: Hey Ryan! What's up?

I'm Rykat: Not much. Did you see that press release?

TheVampireologist: the one for my amityville story?

I'm Rykat: Yeah. Those AT guys don't have an original bone in their body. :hammer:

TheVampireologist: tell me about it.

I'm Rykat: The minute I announce that I'm making an Amityville movie, they jump in and claim it as their own idea. :wall:

TheVampireologist: what jerks.

Cruella: haey guys

TheVampireologist: hi gerri.

I'm Rykat: Yo Gerr's

Cruella: whatts shaksing???

I'm Rykat: Not much. You see that press release?

Cruella: yoo put out new press releese???

TheVampireologist: no its' for some stupid movie the AT guys are making.

I'm Rykat: Not me its another movie...

TheVampireologist: called "my amityville story"

Cruella: oh for crysts sake

I'm Rykat: Those AT guys don't have an original bone in their body. :hammer:

I'm Rykat: The minute I announce that I'm making an Amityville movie, they jump in and claim it as their own idea. :wall:

Cruella: you got that right!!! bwuhaha!!!

Ric Osuna Esq: Hi everyone!

Cruella: haey rric!!!

I'm Rykat: Yo Ricster!

TheVampireologist: hi mr osuna!

Ric Osuna Esq: I bet I know what you folks are chatting about!

I'm Rykat: You saw the press release?

TheVampireologist: that new amityville movie by the AT guys.

Ric Osuna Esq: Oh. I thought you were talking about my new profile photo on linkd. I rented a suit and combed my hair and everything.

Cruella: haven't seen it

I'm Rykat: Hey Rick, you got that 50 bucks I lent you yet?

Ric Osuna Esq: I umm

Ric Osuna Esq: So the AT guys are making a movie? Yeah right. Can you say failure? ha ha ha ha ha ha

Cruella: thats funnny

TheVampireologist: good one rick!

I'm Rykat: Those AT guys don't have an original bone in their body. :hammer:

Cruella: the minite ryan says hes making a movie they do won!!!

I'm Rykat: The minute I announce that I'm making an Amityville movie, they jump in and claim it as their own idea. :wall:

I'm Rykat: Yeah :rotate:

TheVampireologist: it won't be as good as yours rykat.

I'm Rykat: Oh, it's going to be pathetic. :puke:

Cruella: tell me about it!!!

I'm Rykat: Did you see their running time? 90 minutes! That's not even 2 hours!

TheVampireologist: i think it is.

Cruella: your movie gonna be twice as gooder because ist twice loonger

I'm Rykat: You can't cover Amityville in less than 4 hours. Believe me. They don't know what they're doing. :breakdance:

Ric Osuna Esq: did James Cameron ever get back to you?

I'm Rykat: It's in the works. :D

TheVampireologist: james cammeron?????!!!!!!

I'm Rykat: I can't talk about it now. Super duper secret stuff. :silenced:

Cruella: wow!!!

TheVampireologist: holy sheet!!!!!!

Cruella: thats major!!! bwuhahaha!!!

TheVampireologist: does this have something to do with the 3d?

I'm Rykat: Well, I'm in the club now. I'm now a top-notch Hollywood Producer and Director, so we all hang around and talk shop. :lurk: But I can't really go into details. :silenced:

Ric Osuna Esq: you know I helped direct some of that.

I'm Rykat: Ric, I could really use that 50 bucks

Ric Osuna Esq: whose doing the AT film? Farrands?

TheVampireologist: who is that?

I'm Rykat: Yeah, it's Farrands. He goes by the name Eric Walter now. :rotate:

Cruella: I thought farands was dan the doomed

I'm Rykat: That's him too. He's got like hundred names there. :rotate: :rotate:

Ric Osuna Esq: George had 50 accounts there and they've been busy keeping them alive and pretending to ask themselves questions.

Cruella: its comicul

I'm Rykat: And the best part is their film will feature Daniel Lutz. :puke:

Cruella: the real Danny Lutz???

TheVampireologist: like he knows anything about amityvilllle!

Ric Osuna Esq: How did they find him?

TheVampireologist: but our movie has gerri.

TheVampireologist: and the son of the guy who was hired to investigate the murders a year after the fact.

I'm Rykat: I'm not worried. "Shattered Hopes: The True Story of the Horrific Amityville Murders Which Inspired the Untrue Story of Demonic Infestations Behind the Amityville Horror Series of Books and Films - in 3D" will be way better.

Cruella: i can't wait to see myself in 3d!!!

Ric Osuna Esq: You're gonna pop off the scree in 3D! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Cruella: that's funny!!!

TheVampireologist: good one ric!

I'm Rykat: Seriously, it's been 5 years Ric. I really need that money.

Lol :)

And I like lack of ego on Eric's site comapred to Ric Osuna (who has his pic on the main page because he's so awesome) and that other one which has "A FILM BY RYAN KATZENBACH" plastered everywhere...

I can't wait to see this Eric.

Something, just something tells me that this is going to be a well done, professional documentary.

I don't want to give these people any more attention they deserve (the aforementioned chat featuring the doyan's of Amityville conspiracies to which I refer) ... but ...

Interesting how "rykat" had to mention three times that I counted, that the "AT guys" ... "don't have an original bone in their bodies" and "stole the idea from us" ...

Once I got over the atrocious grammar and spelling errors (I know, I know it is just a chat and not a convention for Oxford Dictionary), I had had enough ...

I also found interesting how they compared the source for their project (Gerri) having more credibility than Dan Lutz - yeah if I were given a choice between a person who MAY have been there (90% unlikely) and a person who WAS there, who do you think would win on the credibility scale?

Oh crap. I'm sorry, Brendan -- I should have made it clearer -- that was just a joke on my part. That wasn't a real chat -- just me having fun.

I guess I made it too realistic? lol But actually that's quite a compliment. I tried to make it somewhat realistic, to heighten the joke, but giving each fake person their own writing style, including having Ryan being in love with the smilies. But I thought the "legion of doom" would be a giveaway that it was just a joke.

And Tracey, if you're reading, notice that I didn't even include you in there! Kiss kiss! :P

I can imagine it being like one of those soap opera serials they used to have ... at the end of the episode the narrator can say "Will Ryan get his $50 back from Ric?" or "Will they think an original thought or idea?", or "Will Geraldine finally get her dogs back from the pound?" ... "Stay tuned for next week's episode of ... "

Wow, Eric. This looks AWESOME! It seems like when I think nothing new can be shed on this case, along comes something new.... BUT ONLY ON THIS BOARD.

Dan, consider me one of the "fooled" ones. I thought that chat transcription was real. hahaha....nice

I'm happy you liked it, but sorry that you got fooled. I didn't mean to trick anyone. I guess I got carried away in making it too life-like -- I probably should have made it a bit more over-the-top. :D
