Hey, 'big Y', let's just pretend there have been no changes and continue without amusement or reaction, as if just as silly as before. Any possible improvements *cough cough* will show themselves or not (if nobody wants to brag). As long as things such as & exist (for the truly immature) there is no improvement and only further silliness with a 'viagra-god' blue background. Let's ignore it and concentrate on us and the arts & crafts of The Amityville Horror.

DUDE, should have given the controls to me. I've been into Amityville since 1995 and literally every day thought about 112 Ocean Avenue. With respect its time to hand over the torch. I'm not the eldest but the most enthusiastic.

Why would I start my own board when this should be the number 1 place for Amityville enthusiasts? I only care about making this community better. If the webmaster gets bored of it its in his best interests to pass the torch to someone who can do a much better job.

So the board was down??? I would assume the overwhelming majority of the regulars have lives and were NOT losing their minds because the board was offline. They simply checked in every now and then to see if the board was up and running once again. This forum is what it is, and that saying it's NOT LIFE CHANGING OR ALTERING IN ANY WAY. It's an interest to some or maybe some might call it an obsession to a very few select individuals . That being said if things like this happen and it truly upsets, worries or causes you to think the keys or regions to an I internet forum should be given to you personally, IT TRULY IS TIME TO PRIORITIZE YOUR LIFE. If the whole Amityville saga/topic or whatever you prefer to call it is that vitally important start your own board. Believe it or.not there are Amityville forums on Facebook that are three times more active than this forum. I do not say that to upset the owner, the regulars or the certain individual who seems to feel he should run the show. If you do a little research maybe your obsession could be fed more proactively by spending your free time on those forums then here. Just a thought about life in general and that I would dare say ninety nine percent of online people who are interested in the Amityville topic would agree with. That one percent whose life is completely and utterly is devoted to Amityville 24/7 and has no other life are not here, they are in fact on these Facebook forums.

No offense taken. Personally, I'm more about quality over quantity.

Ever since George Lutz died, there seems to be a lot less to talk about. When he was alive, we had some great in-depth conversations on here, where people actually took time out of their lives and investigated stuff relating to the murders and the haunting, and researched exactly "who said what" in the past, and where they may have contradicted themselves.

Not so much of that anymore.

If people have moved on, that's okay. Lots of Amityville forums have come and gone. This one has survived. People have said that their sites will be the biggest and best Amityville site ever, but they are now defunct. Even George's own amityvillehorror.com has long been vaporized. I want this one to live on. I just want to keep this board up at least as a resource if not anything else. Somewhere where people can go to find out that Ric Osuna's book is chuck full of errors; that Kaplan's book doesn't really have a smoking gun amongst its pages; that Katzenbach's documentaries are basically discussing myths and hearsay more than anything else.

But that's just my opinion. Sherb is the head of this board. I'm just the caretaker.

You just proved my point. It's a shame people done even read; or chose to ignore certain points to a well thought out post. I no I wasting my time, but you must ha e glossed over the line that I wrote that states "Not to upset or offend anyone". You simply have a need that isn't being filled here so as one other member suggested, you can fill that need and have complete control by opening your own message board. I don't know you, or anyone else on ANY level so I have no
reason to insult anyone. When you show that your obsession goes beyond what is being offered here, it is shown that perhaps moving to a more active board or opening one yourself would be the appropriate action. Once again I dare say ninety nine percent of the users here not only understand that statement, but can fully comprehend it without feeling ANYONE was insulted. I am sorry that you happen to be that one percent. Now as most people do, on with life.
