My Amyityville Horror all the way. I really hope it gets released and confirms everything George and Kathy said, and puts the naysayers to rest. I don't have the book with me anymore, but does anyone remember how old he was when the events occurred? I just hope he remembers everything--children forget things sometimes, even traumatic events like the haunting was.

Whoops--and sorry to double post--but I saw he was 8 years old in the official movie thread.

Actually, that isn't what this film is about. It's about Danny and what he's like today having dealt with this stuff all his life. It's about Danny going back and talking about stuff he probably hasn't discussed in decades. Some stuff he confirms, other stuff he denies, and some things he expands upon. But this isn't "The Lutzes vs The World" -- more like "Danny Lutz vs The World." Doesn't really put the naysayers to rest -- just puts more information out there for people to either believe or not.ToxiMoron wrote:My Amyityville Horror all the way. I don't think I've expressed quite what I intended in response to your post. Maybe because I have a headache and lack the patience to make my words clearer? But I think you'll understand when you see the film. It's not your typical Amityville-related documentary...

I get what you're saying, Dan--headache or no--and that's actually good news. "Not a typical Amityville documentary" is exactly what we need. I mean, we've all heard George and Kathy's take on the haunting and what it did to their lives, but I can't remember Danny ever putting his thoughts on film. Or I guess I should be saying "Dan," as he isn't a kid anymore, lol.

Amityville in Space. It's going to happen sooner or later.

He clearly wasn't when he produced the remake. Why should we worry now?Shawn wrote:Quarter Moon wrote:Amityville in Space. It's going to happen sooner or later.

I'm so happy I can change my vote, YAY! Ryan's percentage just sank from 13% to 12%.
Wow, don't know my own strength! Heh.

Just to remind everybody who sees the picture of those cats....
Do you notice that those cats are white? White is the symbol of innocence and purity. Radio is far from that!
Anyway...
does anybody know when the Danny Lutz movie will be out on DVD?

I believe one of the main reasons for doing the whole film festival circuit is to get distribution offers. So everything depends on what they are offered and which offer they choose to go with. Apparently nothing lined up yet. Might be a while. Who knows.

Ok....I know nothing of film festivals, but what you say does make sense. Thanks
I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open for the DVD to hit the market.

Re: Which Amityville projects are you looking forward to?
In the UK the DVD market works where new films come out on a Monday four
months after their last run at the cinema. Sometimes the films are a month
earlier if they didn't do successful at the box office and they are trying to
push it's success. Sometimes they release them five or even six months,
just in time for a festival like Christmas (a new xmas film from the previous year)
Halloween (Red lights) or Easter (hop).
The independent market, especially if it's outside of the UK is usually longer and
harder to find copies of.

It is better to return a borrowed pot with a little something you last cooked in it.

Seriously though, I really hope Eric is going to distribute this film somehow. I'm really dying to see it.

Or maybe we could go a more "Jason Goes to Hell" route, and have some sort of government facility take over the house and run experiments, there... Seems like it could go really well or end up like Amityville 3D.

Re: Which Amityville projects are you looking forward to?
I was thinking Amityville: Red Light would be an interesting concept. The ancient evil affects the career of some reputable workers in the field of a whorehouse which opens on Ocean Avenue.
Somewhere in the movie they realise the red room being used by the clients was actually an ancient sacrificial chamber, and anyone who steps foot in there is doomed for eternity. The employees become possessed and start killing in their thirst for blood.
The film could end with a special grand peep-hole show where the beast rises and kills everyone in the place with red lazer beams come out of the two eye-like windows or something.
What can we do to make this happen?

I would like to see a movie drama about Ronnie Defeo, that isn't about the supernatural but assumes that DeFeo acted on his own accord

I must be the only person who LOVES Amityville 3-D. It’s my favorite in the franchise.Jacob Sterling wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2012 9:11 pmOr maybe we could go a more "Jason Goes to Hell" route, and have some sort of government facility take over the house and run experiments, there...
