Re: JAWS on Blu-Ray
Would love to see the restored version.
I am also glad there will be no CGI shark. I recently had my kids watch ET and although the CGI was seamlessly put in place I would have rather seen the eighties effect fro the alien.
For em there is no comparison between physical effects and CGI...models and costumes all the way lol.

Re: JAWS on Blu-Ray
Too bad I don't have a Blu-Ray player. Only thing I'm wondering about is the audio. After the original DVD release and then the 30th anniversary release with the original audio, I prefer the original audio.
Of course, nothing will top the summer of 2004 when I saw the movie at the State Theater here in Columbus. Old theater with balcony seating, original audio blasting away, and the movie was an actual film copy of the movie just like in the old days when the movie was released. It was awesome!
Of course, I still show my Jaws pride.

All football is is a bunch of over-pumped jocks on steroids who say they're straight while they smack each other's behinds and chase each other around on a field so they can tackle another guy to play with that guy's ball.

Re: JAWS on Blu-Ray
I was never a big fan of Jaws, but my dad was.
When the original came out he and his friends would hide
At the back of the cinema from ushers as the credits rolled
Then would watch it again, or the next one...

It is better to return a borrowed pot with a little something you last cooked in it.

Re: JAWS on Blu-Ray
Sorry for nitpicking, but it's actually, "You're gonna need a bigger boat." Chief Brody was addressing Quint in that scene.Howard64 wrote:"We're gonna need a bigger boat..." Chief Brody

That was a great scene for seeing how into the movie an audience is. When I saw it, the audience laughed at Brody's "slow ahead" remark, but the laughs all turned to screams as the shark reared its head out of the water.

That's kind of like, "Luke, I am your Father.", "Beam me up Scotty.", "Play it again, Sam!". Quotes that everybody knows, but were never said.KevinW wrote:Sorry for nitpicking, but it's actually, "You're gonna need a bigger boat."
