I found 1940 census information for Louise and Ronald.
In 1940...the Brigante family was living at 627 Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn....and the DeFeo family was living at 1857 59th Street in the Mapleton neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The census data shows that Mr. DeFeo had a younger brother named John (born circa 1939). I'm guessing that John passed away at a young age...but I haven't found anything conclusive yet.
