I noticed that Canarsie had a weekly newspaper back in the 1970s...so I decided to search to see if there had been any coverage of the SCPD detectives searching the storm drain...

That's Joe's Deli in the picture...Ronnie went to Sol's Luncheonette (about five miles to the west).

So it took them all afternoon to search the storm drain? Wouldn't expect it'd take that long. Unless a lot of that time was searching for the owner of the car that was parked over the drain (to move it).
