The most recent (at time of writing) episode introduced the character known as The Governor. I knew what sort of person he was to be from the onset, mostly because I had read a plot summary of the graphic novels and also certain similarities of the cult of personality persona he created within his community - very similar to Hitler and Stalin.

It will be interesting over the coming weeks just what happens particularly when the other group converge with the community and by extension the Governor (or will that be the other way around?).

these episodes are really getting out there! I have theories
as to what this governor is up to. The next episode should help me
figure it out...

I think it was good how they focussed on just Michonne and Andrea in episode three, introducing the Governor. It took time away from Rick's group and established the new characters (as well as reintroducing Merle who I always knew was not dead anyway).

From appearances it may well alternate between groups a week apiece before merging them. As long as it won't be done too much, but for building up to something and establishing new major characters it is pretty effective.

This governor has a sinister plan going on...I do not like it one
bit! I think tonights episode 11/4/2012 is going to be interesting.

I am dubious of the attitude that Merle has, he does not seem as
pissed off as I would expect. Rather he makes me think of a controlled
insanity...

He feels a certain loyalty to the Governor for saving him. I think also it has helped him find a centre for his formerly spiralling insanity ... like it's now in check ... for the time being.

All it takes however is for a betrayal of some kind ... either by the Governor ... and that can topple.

Black and white has a way of bringing out subtle details
in some awesome ways. Ask any photographer, black and
white photography is a really cool way to take photos. Not
to mention it is easier to develop:)
