Sherb, you might like this channel (you may even have gotten an invite from them, because I'm clueless as to why they contacted me for an invite; not even sure I had visited their channel before), they show both new and old trailers:

I liked the original too but lets be honest, if any movie was in need of a remake it would be that one

Yeah, Harryhausen's effects were great for the time, but now they are incredibly dated...

Repo Men:
The futuristic action-thriller, based on the novel "The Repossession Mambo" by Eric Garcia, stars Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Liev Schreiber, RZA, Alice Braga and Carice van Houten.

In Repo Men, humans have extended and improved our lives through highly sophisticated and expensive mechanical organs created by a company called The Union. The dark side of these medical breakthroughs is that if you don't pay your bill, The Union sends its highly skilled repo men to take back its property... with no concern for your comfort or survival.

Jude Law plays Remy, one of the best organ repo men in the business. But when he suffers a cardiac failure on the job, he awakens to find himself fitted with the company's top-of-the-line heart-replacement... as well as a hefty debt. But a side effect of the procedure is that his heart's no longer in the job. When he can't make the payments, The Union sends its toughest enforcer, Remy's former partner Jake (Whitaker), to track him down.

Is "Repo men" a remake of the direct to DVD film "Repo Man"?

It took awhile to shake off the chills I got from the beginning of the "Legion" trailer. The premise is retarded but the old lady at the beginning.......

Nope! But Alex Cox has made a low-budget sequel called Repo Girl.

FROZEN:
Image
A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they’ve been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down. With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make theirmove, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die.

They seem to have very similar story lines (except one is a musical). It doesn't say anything about them being related or based on the same book but they have nearly identical story lines.

That happened with "Inglorious Basterds" too. There's a 1977 italian film with the same name and very similar storyline. There was also 4 or 5 sequels. When Quentin Tarentino was asked about it he sais the film was one of the inspirations but NOT a remake and his film was his own idea. He also noted how he customized the title. Spelling "inglorious" wrong and spelling "Bastards" the way it is said.

But 13, Yvette Mimieux is in it!

That is probably one of the worst film posters/covers I've ever seen. All that is missing is a caption that says 'Ahhhhh!!'
