RIP Frank Thornton (Captain Peacock)

Post by KevinW » Mon Mar 18, 2013 5:07 pm

Saw this when I got home this evening.

Anybody know who from the show is still left? If I remember right, all of the original floor staff have now passed on. :(

All football is is a bunch of over-pumped jocks on steroids who say they're straight while they smack each other's behinds and chase each other around on a field so they can tackle another guy to play with that guy's ball.

Sad news!
I knew John Inman quite well (aka Mr. Humphries). He would often come in to my shop when he was touring - he was a really funny guy, just as he was in the show - camp as Christmas and never out of character.

I'm sure Mike Berry is still alive Kevin, though he was only in the show from 1981-85
I wish I had the nerve not to tip...

We also lost Richard Briers on February 17th. You may recall him from “Ever Decreasing Circles” and “The Good Life

WTF??? This is a sad day indeed!

I only just watched Are You Being Served? tonight.

The only one left from the main cast is Mr Rumbold (Jug Ears)!
