On my way to see rogue one tonight. Brand new iMax theaters with fully reclining seats, reserved seats, restaurant and bar, order right from my chair! Even thinking about bringing my stash and firing that thing up inside in case the movie turns out to be as bad as force awakens?

As it's set in a time where "the Jedi are all but extinct" that would be a no... :P

correction, vader is a jedi and makes an appearance with his saber and does some killing but no fight one on one.

didn't read the book. rules (storylines) should've been bent to accommodate.

Kenobi is the only other Jedi left, and he's in hiding!

I saw it just before Christmas and I loved it. I was content to not see a lightsaber duel although (spoiler alert) there was some lightsaber action towards the end by Darth Vader. That scene was particularly impressive.

I liked it as it was set in a time just before A New Hope and some years after Revenge of the Sith. I liked how (another spoiler alert) Darth Vader had a castle-fortress in the Mustafar system, a place where he succumbed to his injuries and his duel with Obi Wan.

There was lightsaber action which I think was very much worth seeing at the end.
