I started watching this last night. I haven't seen it in ages but finally got it on DVD. I didnt finish watching it but was wondering if the outside footage of the house is the Tom's River house used in the original? The entire opening credit sequence is focused on the outside of the house and to my eyes it's the same house. The surrounding property even looks right too.

Yes, the first three movies used the same house. With each movie, they had to modify the original colonial house to make it the Dutch colonial in the movie.

Ahh thanks! Now from memory I know the inside of the house in the third movie differs from the inside of the first and in the second film the inside of the house is completely different. I guess they just used the Toms River house for exterior shots.

All exteriors were filmed at the Toms River house.
Interiors were done on sets in Mexico.
