Union Cemetery

Union Cemetery in Easton (also Bridgeport), which dates back to the 17th century, is touted as one of the most haunted cemeteries not only in Connecticut, but in the entire country. Many haunts have been said to exist on the grounds of the cemetery. Several visitors who have photographed the cemetery are later surprised to see orbs, light rods, ectoplasmic mists, and on rare occasions even full apparitions appear in their photographs that were not visible at the time the photo was taken. The most well-known haunt is a spirit known as the "White Lady". The identity of the spirit is not known, but sightings of her did not occur until the late 1940s, meaning she must have died sometime before then. People have photographed and even videotaped her. Not only have people seen her with their own eyes, but some passers-by have even "hit" her with their cars as they drove past the cemetery.

The Warrens writted a book of it called ''Graveyard''

Another spirit considered to haunt the cemetery is "Red Eyes". A person walking by the cemetery caught a glimpse of a pair of red eyes in the brush peering at him through the darkness. As he ran from the entity, he heard footsteps following him. Cosmic Society’s Donna Kent speculates that it was the specter of Earle Kellog, a man who was set afire across the street and burned to death in 1935, or a man, killed by a drunken driver.

Boogey l live very close to the Union Cemetery here in Monroe, CT. It is an awesome looking cemetery with very old gravestones. The White Lady of Monroe has been seen between the Stepney Cemetary and the Union Cemetary. The Warrens show many pictures from the Union and Steney Cemetary in their lectures.

Connecticut is a very paranormal active place.
Have you ever heared of the New London Ledge Light?
It was featured in Scariest places on Earth.
Also in Ghost Hunters but they didnt find anything good.

Legend says that an early lighthouse keeper called Ernie haunts the lighthouse.
The Coast Guard crew on duty at the lighthouse, not automated until 1987, reported unexplained knockings taking place at night, as well as doors opening and closing repeatedly, the television turning on and off by itself sporadically, and the unexplained removal of sheets from beds.

Boogey,

yes know all about the New London Lighthouse. I too a TV show that showed paranormal expert type people who went into the lighthouse to explore the place. You are correct Connecticut since it is so old has a lot of hauntings. Thank goodness my house appears to be normal.

Oh this story gives me the creeps. Thank goodness I don't live there. I'd freak out if I "hit" someone and then see that there is no one around where I had hit them. Eek!
