Crucifix in the sewing room

Just to the right of the closet in the sewing room was a crucifix that hung on the wall. When it was Marc and John's room...there looks to be a crucifix in the EXACT same spot...

Is interesting that the Lutz's put the crucifix in the sewing room where Father Ray had problems, then things seemed to escalate after that.

Speaking of the crucifixes. Does anyone know why the Lutz’s put the extra beautiful one in the closet? My sister and I were confused about that, we’re Catholic but never heard of that as a tradition. Does anyone know anything about that?

As I recall, most of the Defeo's belongings got left in the house after the murders, which probably includes that crucifix in Marc and John's room. The lutz probably just wanted to replace the existing crucifix with one of their own and put it in the exact same spot instead of making another nail hole in the wall.
