Diane is great. I rate "that" third floor scene as one of the hottest in all films not only in how erotic it was but the dark undertones. Then the rest of the movie the problems snowball from there. Usually sex scenes are meant to be the start of good things, so I just love the contrast on how it curses the rest of the movie. So dark and dramatic. I love it!

Thank you so much for spreading the show!
Diane was a pleasure to talk to and we plan on having her on again either when we get closer to release or after release so she can really get into all the details! We are really looking forward to this film being released.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed the listen will continue to check us out!

Some people may still regard her as alluring.

She is but physically she has not really kept herself in as good a condition as others have her age.

Well this movie is out now, if you know what I mean. But not Liking the first few minutes so far. Anyone else excited?
The hokey intro with comedy music is a real immersion killer. Some of the actors are clearly using modern facial implants. Not going to let it ruin my enjoyment but those are my first thoughts.
Love how Helter Skelter appears in the film. Have been getting into Manson as of late.
Within five minutes there is a seance in the red room... with an Exorcist reference smh.
Loads of sex, swearing and drugs as well. Don't think I'll be able to sit through this one in full. The CGI is really, really bad, making it look like a cartoon in some spots.

Have to say the CGI of the house killed this movie. It’s god awful.
They changed the whole Defeo story around and history of the house.
This is only one step up from those awful unofficial Amityville films and one step down frommAmityville the awaking which had way more production value

I just saw the whole thing. I thought it was good-I actually liked it better than Awakening. This is the only movie from the franchise so far that really seemed like it was genuinely taking place on Long Island (I can say that as a native)-although the Mom really overdid her accent! The Dad was by far the best actor IMO. My least favorite part overall was the grandmother, and all the supernatural stuff.
My dream would be to see a movie that isn't supernatural at all. It would be more in the style of Criminal Minds or Law & Order and other court/crime drama TV shows and movies. Just about the family and the crime and how Ronnie became a murderer. That would be great I think.

Agreed, the film or episode I'd love to see would be based around High Hopes book and treated with the same production as Mindhunter on Netflix. Especially with the retrogressive approach to the 70s. What is really missing from these recent versions is the warmth of analogue and that cheap feeling of digital footage that just lifts you straight from the past to the modern day which ruins the approach to historical feels.
The CGI house was certainly cheap and it was obvious this was all on a set. I appreciated that they tried to make the house internally as realistic inside but the red room was not that big and that supernatural stuff was nonsense.

The film while a good haunted house story is obviously fabricated even Jackie in her "book" on Ronnie never spun such exaggerated yarns about the Defoe Family's supposed paranormal problems. I highly suspect Daniel Farrands & co. made up the whole plot. Still, it was scary at certain points which is more than I can say for other Amityville movies released since the "Possession".

I have watched this movie and it was very interesting it shows that the defeo famliy had experienced some paranormal activity I don’t know if this is true or not if it is then that explains why the lutz famliy experienced activity.
I have also heard that mrs defeo Louise said to the housekeeper that their would be a terrible tragedy that will occur, William Weber also confirmed this in an interview.
Very strange.

I will not focus on the negatives...
Thats all there was. My god, what drek. If it wasn't featuring a cast and crew who knew better, therefore should DO better..it could be written off as just direct-to-video junk. I'm just going to pretend it doesn't exist and go watch The Amityville Asylum to banish it from my brains

For those who have seen this, how would you compare it in quality to Amityville 2: The Possession as a DeFeo story?
