Spend the night in Amityville...

I recently started work on a project and thought I'd give the forum a very early sneak peak at some of what I'm up to.
The model is still in the early stages and missing some elements (screen / back doors,porch lights etc) ,some elements I could use some info on such as the porch light close-up.
Any links to more obscure photos of the exterior / interior from 1976-77 period roughly that I may have missed here or on Google search also appreciated,one thing in particular is if the red stair carpet was removed before/during the Lutz's living there?.

Thanks,I work as a 3d artist but this is for a my own project - it's modelled in Maya and will be modelling interior as well eventually. Should have some updated exterior images very soon.

Here's an update on the interior,been working on that the last day or so- the stairs are my main focus since they're most complicated.
Mostly finished the exterior now and added the boathouse and garage,working out the scale of the garden also.
These are just some simple renders at the moment as it would take some time to set up proper lighting on the scene and will wait till it's textured to do that.

Here's a couple images I rendered over last few days,re-creatings of the photo style I've seen. Model's progressing and a lot of the the basic interior walls and door frames have been placed.

Thanks,been making some solid progress this week and the models a lot more accurate now than it was,the scale needed some work but it's a lot closer now.

Amazing project and work :) looks very close to the original house as it was in 1974. Gathering images of the flooring and wallpapers from the crime scene photographs should be fairly easy as I'm sure when the Lutzes moved in they still had the original wallpapers and flooring from the defeo's and some of the furniture.
It is better to return a borrowed pot with a little something you last cooked in it.

Progress from this week- I'm getting the model ready for the full texturing stage which is a long process but below are some test shots. Exporting back and forth to game engine so these are just roughly setup with material shaders and lighting to check the layout of the textures. I still have a way to go finishing this stage because of the amount of rooms,the boat house etc but once I get that done texturing will be a lot more fun to do (started looking for all the wallpapers already and re-created a few)-

wow, that looks amazing. do you think you could use the mesh for the eye windows in Sims4Studio? I would love to use it in my game for my own amityville horror house I have

do you think you can upload the eye windows onto sims 4 studio? I would love to use them in my amityville house I created but sadly they don't have them in the game and surprisingly they haven't been created by custom content creators :(

I'm not familiar with sims 4 studio but doubt these would work as they are fairly high poly count. There will be a video / trailer at some point for this but it's a while off yet,still got to fill the whole house / exterior and work on gameplay.

Here's latest little bit of work,tidying up the model ready for full texturing and setting it up for that stage.Got some more wallpapers done and the foyer flooring so it's mostly the exterior that needs work now.

Does anyone know anything about the wallpaper in the boys room / or have a link to it on google?. Been hunting like crazy for it or something very similar but not found it so far,it looks like a nautical theme or something.

Latest images- working on getting rid of lighting problems and doing an overall cleanup of the model before I do any final texturing. I'm lighting the house in daylight at the moment so I can see everything clear and make sure theres no weird issues but eventually it will switch to some moody night light and will get all the wall/ceiling lamps added.Will be also adding dirt,imperfections to textures in the later stages to give it more realism.

Here's the latest. Landscaping and props,the last few days I've been working on interactive objects (lightswitches,doors) so you can explore and got the kitchen cabinets added. Still a lot of landscape work and got the sign to add of course.
