THE AMITYVILLE LEGACY & EVIL NEVER DIES

Post by sherbetbizarre » Thu Oct 22, 2015 5:19 pm

Looks like there's another Amityville Legacy in production... not to be confused with http://www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard ... f=1&t=8475
Directed by Dustin Ferguson (Silent Night, Bloody Night 2: Revival) and produced by 42nd Street Films, the film follows a cursed antique toy monkey from the original DeFeo home as it wrecks havoc and possesses a father after being gifted during an annual family reunion.

It sounds slightly similar to the original plot outline, but I don't think it's the same one. Originally the story sounded more like a mixture of Amityville: The Evil Escapes and Amityville: It's About Time. Honestly that idea sounded more intriguing than this one, but I guess I'll wait for a trailer or photos before I judge if it looks any good or not.

I really wish Amityville: The Lost Tapes had been made. I was totally on board for a movie based on the investigation that took place after the Lutzs left. Or how about one where one of the Lutz kids returns to take part in a live tv event to debunk the haunting and it doesn't go as planned? Anything but more haunted garage sale items.

I'm actually a fan of the "possessed object" films, so I may like this one. I definitely did not like the last few that were made, so hopefully this one is better.

I know they're looking to have a model used for the house in the movie, so I'm interested in seeing how that works out!

I'm a YA novelist and that idea sounds great....

I would really love to know, hoax or no hoax, the sides of the stories re: the Cromarties, O'Neills and Wilsons.

How does one prepare for a sequel when the original was forgotten about until now ... it has been a year or so since this thread was created, less than twelve months since the last post was made .... so one can be forgiven for forgetting. I do frequently purge crap from my brain and it is easy to assume that this was one of them.

Should the byline of this sequel be "Just kill me now and be done with it?"

I mean just look at the expression on that monkey's face. It doesn't convey evil it conveys the look of someone who has had their special place grabbed in a non-loving way and given a good hard squeeze! The true horror story should be how a stuffed monkey got his gonads aggressively tweaked!
